Chicago punk heroes Rise Against are back with a vengeance: their tenth studio album, Ricochet, drops August 15, 2025, via Loma Vista, marking their first full-length record in four years. Produced by Grammy-winner Catherine Marks (known for Boygenius, Manchester Orchestra) and mixed by Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Paramore), this twelve-track barrage brings both firepower and sonic nuance.
Singles That Pack a Punch
Rise Against have already given us a preview of what’s in store:
“Nod” hit in January as their lead single straightforwardly confronting societal numbing.
“Prizefighter” followed in April, a raw and relentless anthem building to the album’s title.
And then came “I Want It All” in late May, a high-octane burst with razor-sharp riffs, dropped alongside the album announcement.
Frontman Tim McIlrath says Ricochet explores the interconnectedness of modern life, how each action echoes across society, and the album gives each idea its own blast of urgency and intensity.
Hardcore Meets Refinement
Fans will recognize Rise Against’s signature melodic hardcore style, fast-paced riffs, singalong choruses, and socially conscious lyrics, yet Ricochet pushes into fresh terrain. With Marks' polished production and Moulder's sheen, the band blends aggression with clarity, packing stadium-level punch into every track. Expect tight guitar interplay from Tim McIlrath and Zach Blair, Joe Principe’s hard-hitting bass, and Brandon Barnes’ thunderous drums, sonic tools suited for punk’s next evolution.

Touring Alert: Rise of the Roach
To launch Ricochet, Rise Against will co-headline a North American tour with Papa Roach this fall, part of the “Rise of the Roach” tour, finally circling back after a summer run. Expect a dynamic set list locked with their new songs and old favorites, a total rock insurgency.
After four years of refining their craft and collaborating with top-tier talent, Rise Against return with a sharper, bolder sound. They’re reminding us that punk rock isn’t just about rebellion, it’s about connection. And proving once again that, in their hands, riffs can shape a movement.
