Alice Cooper Reunites His Original Band for the First Time in 50 Years

After more than five decades, shock rock legend Alice Cooper has reunited with the surviving members of his original band for a brand-new studio album. Titled The Revenge of Alice Cooper, the album drops July 25, 2025, via earMUSIC, and marks the first full record with guitarist Michael Bruce, bassist Dennis Dunaway, and drummer Neal Smith since 1973’s Muscle of Love.
The project includes ten brand-new tracks and is produced by longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin. It also features a few emotional surprises: the late Glen Buxton, who passed away in 1997, appears posthumously on the song “What Happened to You,” and Robby Krieger of The Doors guests on lead single “Black Mamba.” Fans got an early taste of the reunion with “Up All Night,” a second single released July 16.
To celebrate the album’s release, the band will host a special event at London’s Union Chapel on July, limited to 900 in-person tickets, with a global livestream also planned. Meanwhile, Cooper continues his Too Close for Comfort solo tour, and will co-headline select dates with Judas Priest this fall.
This reunion isn’t just a trip down memory lane, it’s a rare convergence of history and revival. The original Alice Cooper band helped define theatrical rock in the early '70s, blending horror, glam, and punk before those genres had names. Bringing that chemistry back to life in the studio (with Ezrin behind the console, no less) is a full-circle moment for one of rock’s most influential acts. Instead of nostalgia, this record feels like unfinished business. Loud, theatrical, and still dangerous.
The Revenge of Alice Cooper lands July 25. You’ve waited 50 years. What’s one more week?
Keep riffing.
